Dad's Shorts to The Fashionista's Shorts

If I don't post this refashion as-is, I'm never going to get it done. Maybe knowing this will go public will encourage The Fashionista to get some good after pictures!

Dad lost weight and I gave his old Polo shorts to The Fashionista, plaid lover that she is.She took them apart, like so:
And decided to use the pocket lining and label as accents...
Now isn't that cute?
This is not a great picture, but it's the only "After" I have, ratty t-shirt, Converse boots, and all.
The Fashionista loves making shorts, and I love how she just dives in. I am afraid of failure, but she is not. Hence, The Fashionista has a few more pairs of home-sewn shorts than I do. She also has some "failures". These shorts turned out too tight, and progress was stalled. What you can't see is the black tuxedo stripe going down the side.

A pair in the works has also turned out tight. The great thing about having little sisters is that when you make your shorts too tight, you can pretend you are making them for your sister.
