DQ Bakerette has picked up a habit or two from her mom. She has begun to photograph her food. Sometime last week she asked me my opinion on simple corncakes. She's been influenced by Little House on the Prairie, you see. She is quite able enough to make things by herself, so she began her experiment. I didn't happen to be around while this was going on. I discovered these pictures when I uploaded the most recent batch of photos to the computer.
This was to be a simple batter or cornmeal with either water or milk, maybe a little salt.
It looks like they turned out nice and golden.

Somehow, I don't think that was quite the look she was trying to capture. To be fair, he finished his serving, and looks rather pleased with his food in this next photo.
I wonder if we'll see these again anytime soon.
