Chocolate Zucchini Bread...and a Dog Story

See this? Decadent, gooey, chocolatey zucchini bread. I think the point of this recipe is to hide the zukes, because you certainly can't tell they are in there. This is a great way to shove sneak some more veggies down your kids' throats. There is a little over 1 1/2 cups of zucchini in there.
If you make this in secret and serve it for breakfast, your kiddos will think they've suddenly appeared in the Promised Land.

We don't have too many problems with picky eaters because they know if they don't eat what is served for dinner at dinnertime, they'll eat what was served for dinner at breakfast the next morning. Dapper Dude is the pickiest eater, gentleman that he is. He prefers to take his time rather than save it for breakfast.

See this? This is Hoss. Cute, huh? Looky here, his ear is floating in his water. Oh, why is his water bowl in the other bowl you ask? He likes to tip it.

And look how dignified he is:

Here's Davy Crockett Hoss:

And Cowdog Hoss:

Oh, the cuteness. It can almost (but not quite) make you forgive him for this:

Sigh, at least DQ Bakerette and I made two.

Hoss highly recommends this recipe, by the way.

Wow that chocolate zucchini bread looks delicious. I just passed up some free zucchini because I am so sick of them at this point in the season.. Wish I had known about this recipe before I did that!
