Tea Partying

We had a blast in Fresno at the Central Valley Tea Party! 7500 people - woohoo! Unfortunately, I did not take many pictures. I think it had something to do with getting in front of people, and facing them - something this stay at home mom does not do often ever.

I did get one good picture, a picture similar to the many that were taken of this dude:
Isn't he cute? I lost count of how many people came to take photos of him. He's our beloved Hoss.

Hubby and I were also interviewed by the local news and our interview and entire family were shown on the evening edition. Ack!

We joined thousands hundreds of thousands almost a million people across the nation in protest of the out-of-control spending in Washington. Enough is enough. For us, it is not just about President Obama, this started way before he took office. We certainly believe that the policies of Obama and our current lawmakers are going to pull this country down into socialism, though, leaps and bounds faster if they get their way.

After watching the Congressional Black Caucus pander and drool over Castro and look longingly at Cuba, I truly believe that socialism is the direction some people are trying to take our country into. Believe me folks, you don't want to go there. My mom fled Cuba just before Castro took over and I can say with 100% accuracy, if this is what the CBC wants for African-Americans (and clearly, they do), the CBC is no friend to the black man, or any American for that matter.

Sorry, lately my political conversations always turn to Cuba, ever since the whole CBC episode.

Anyway, contrary to what some people might believe, I love the United States, I love America, and God bless America.
